The City has an opening on the Economic Development, Tourism and Events Commission. To be eligible to serve on this commission, you must be involved in retail or hospitality, manufacturing or industry, and professional services in the City of College Place.
There will soon be an opening on the Civil Service Commission. The Civil Service Commission is a three member body appointed by the Mayor to adopt rules consistent with state and local law regarding the recruitment, testing, and establishment of eligibility lists for hiring employees of the City’s Police and Fire Departments. In addition, the Commission has the authority to hear and decide cases involving the appeal of disciplinary actions such as suspension, demotion, and discharge of classified personnel.
To apply for the volunteer Commission position, please fill out the application located here and drop it off at City Hall (625 S. College Avenue, College Place) or email it to Lisa Neissl at (email@example.com)
The City of College Place has several Boards and Commissions that assist the City Council by reviewing various matters and making recommendations to the Council. This is a great way to be of service to your community and have a voice in the direction of your City. Please think about volunteering your time and sharing some of your expertise with your community.
