The City of College Place is a partner with the National League of Cities (NLC) and Utility Service Partners Inc. in offering low-cost insurance on water and sewer lateral service lines. Water lines from the meter to the house and wastewater lines from the junction of city line to the house are the responsibility of the homeowner. Should the private service line malfunction or break, this insurance would cover the repair and/or replacement cost. More information on this program is available here. The nearby cities of Hermiston, Oregon, Dayton, Washington, and Sunnyside, Washington also participate in this program. This program is optional and is only meant for for property owner's who are responsible for their utility bill. This program does not apply to resident's who are renters and aren't responsible for the water/sewer bill.
