While “Stay Home/Stay Safe” order is still in place, we have come up with a plan which will allow CPPD to process CPL RENEWALS only (not Original CPLs, which require fingerprinting):
Please fill out the application for renewal found (HERE). The form indicates that your phone number is “optional”, but please list a phone number. We are unsure how long the stay home order is going to last and want to be able to contact you in case anything comes up.
Please provide us with a color copy of your valid Washington driver’s license or ID AND a copy of your current Concealed Pistol License (can be copied on the same page).
Please include a check in the amount of $32, if you are within 90 days BEFORE the CPL expires, made out to: City of College Place. **If you are past the expiration date, but within 90 days past, the check should be $42 ($10 late fee). If you are beyond 90 days past your expiration, you will need to start over with an Original and will need to be fingerprinted.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call us at (509) 394-8550. Even though our lobby is closed to the public right now, we are still in the office working during regular business hours. Monday-Thursday 8:00 – 5:00 PM and on Friday 8:00-4:00 PM.
TIPS:
To save some time and money, you are more than welcome to drop this info in a sealed envelope in one of the city utility boxes (there is one located at Lions Park & one down the side driveway of City Hall). City Hall employees are aware of this process and will forward the envelope to us.
Once we receive your application for renewal, the process is started. We cannot issue your renewal until your current CPL expires so, on that day (or next business day if the expiration date falls on a weekend), you will receive a phone call to see if you want to come pick it up or for it to be mailed. Your receipt for the transaction will be sent along with the Renewed CPL.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during this situation.
