4th STREET/ACADEMY WAY PROJECT
4th & Academy Way

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project involves reconstructing Fourth Street from Davis to Academy Way and Academy Way from Fourth Street to Whitman Drive. This will entail two traffic lanes, 5' sidewalks on both sides, a two-way "cycle track" on the south side of 4th Street and east side of Academy Way and parallel parking on the north side of 4th Street.    The cycle track will be the first of its kind in the valley.

This project, along with local funds, has been funded entirely by the Washington's Transportation Improvement Board.   The total project, including engineering, property acquisition, cost roughly $1.2 million.
