The Lions Park Improvement project will enhance the exiting 8-acre park with new public use amenities, including a splash pad, inclusive playground, baseball backstop, exercise stations, walking pathways, picnic shelter, restrooms, fishing dock, lighting, and associated parking lot improvements.  Additionally, infrastructure improvements will include the installation of stormwater facilities, enhancement to water quality by intercepting existing discharges to the pond and Garrison Creek.  Lions pond, a well-known youth fishing water will be dredged and isolated from the Garrison Creek channel which will enable the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to continue stocking the pond with rainbow trout. The project will go out to bid in the fall of 2023 with construction in 2024.
