Governor Inslee: Stay Home, Stay Healthy Executive Order

This afternoon, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee issued a "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and well-being of everyone in the state. This order is effective immediately, and will remain in place for at least the next two weeks. https://medium.com/…/inslee-announces-stay-home-stay-health…

In Washington, everyone is required to stay home or wherever they live, as much as possible. The order is enforceable by law.

People may leave the house to buy food, get necessary health care, exercise outdoors, or go to an essential job. If you must go out, keep at least 6 feet of distance between other people, and return home as soon as you can.

All non-essential businesses must close within 48 hours unless all employees can work from home. Grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, and other essential businesses will remain open. Restaurants can continue to offer take-out and delivery service.

The City will continue to provide essential services, including utilities, Police, and Fire, while the order is in effect. City parks will remain open for exercise, but playground equipment is considered off-limits in order to ensure the proper distance of 6 feet from other people and to prevent the spread of the virus from surfaces.
