The purpose of the Community Department Department is to facilitate orderly growth and development of the city, protect the health, safety and general welfare of city residents, promote sound economic development and protect property values.  This is accomplished through the application and enforcement of the Development Code ,  Comprehensive Plan, and adopted building codes.
